Do you service all of Nelson and Tasman?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Peak Electric is based in Hope and covers the whole Nelson Tasman region, including Nelson city, Stoke, Tāhunanui, Atawhai, Richmond, Hope, Brightwater, Wakefield, Mapua and Motueka. Visits further out are planned ahead so travel time is used efficiently and the job still gets a fair price. If you're not sure whether your address is inside the usual service area, get in touch on 027 842 7923 and we'll let you know either way.

Question 2

Are you a registered electrician?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All work is completed by a registered New Zealand electrician and carried out to current wiring standards (AS/NZS 3000). Where the job requires it, you'll receive a Certificate of Compliance or an Electrical Safety Certificate for your records, useful for insurance, home sales, rental compliance and future maintenance. If you'd like the EWRB registration details before booking, just ask and we'll send them through.

How quickly can you come out for a job?

Accepted Answer

For most residential work in Nelson, Richmond, Stoke and Hope we can usually organise a visit within a few working days, and often sooner for smaller jobs. Larger renovations and new builds are booked in advance and coordinated with your builder. If it's an urgent electrical issue like a total loss of power, a burning smell or an unsafe fitting, call 027 842 7923 straight away and we'll help you work out the safest next step.

Do you provide free quotes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Smaller jobs can often be priced up quickly over the phone or by email once we have a clear description and a couple of photos. For renovations, new builds, switchboard upgrades or anything that needs to be measured on site, we'll come out, take a proper look and send through a written quote with a clear scope. There's no obligation once you've received it, take your time to decide.

Can you handle both small repairs and full renovations?

Yes. Peak Electric works across the full range, from a single power point, a tripping breaker or a faulty light through to full home rewires, kitchen and bathroom renovations, extensions and new builds. Small jobs get the same care and tidy finish as larger ones, and we're happy to talk through options if you're weighing up whether to repair, upgrade or replace something.
